Indigenous and endangered plant and animal species within the Philippines and measures taken to conserve, preserve, and protect these species at a broader level

Some examples of the indigenous and endangered plant and animal species in the Philippines are the Philippine eagle, Philippine spotted deer, Green turtle, Tarsier, Philippine Sailfin Lizard, and Philippine Monitor Lizard for the animals. Jade vine, Fan Palm, Kabantigi, and Tree Fern for the plants. According to the Republic Act No. 7586 of the Philippines also known as National Integrated Protected Area System of 1992. This aims to provide and protect our natural resources and our indigenous plants and animals due to the impact of man's activities on all components of our natural environment, particularly the effect of increasing population, resource exploitation and industrial advancement. In order to protect these indigenous plants and animals, there should always be restriction measures on hunting, transporting, and trading the species. The government should develop recovery plants for endangered and threatened species, which outline the steps that need to be taken for the species to recover. Other acts that aim to protect our endangered species, such as Marine Mammal Protection Act, and Endangered Species Act. We should also encourage the government to create more wildlife sanctuaries for the protection of our endangered species. In my part, I will help inform people to lessen deforestation so that there will be more homes for the species and their protection so that they will increase and insure safety to their environment.
